NOVEMBER 2011:
W.Bro John Shaw honoured by The Lord Lieutenant
Congratulations John

Recognition of Work
Long standing Treasurer of Greville Lodge 4773, W Bro John Shaw is well known in wider circles around his home town of Warwick. For the past 21 years he has been Chairman of the town's Royal British Legion branch.
Under his tenure the Warwick Poppy collection has raised nearly £500,000
John stepped down as Warwick Chairman after this year's Remembrance Service to take up a new role within the Legion, that of Vice-Chairman for Warwickshire county.
In his final act as Chairman John presented long service certificates to other members of the branch at the Remembrance Day Luncheon and received a heart warming thank you speech from the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire, Mr. Martin Dunne.
In recognition of his efforts to date he was presented with the Legion's prestigious 'Gold Medal', of which there are only 3 other living recipients within the whole of England.
